About
Welcome to Hupomone Ministries, a place to find strength for the weary soul. James 1:3 (ESV) tells us, "You know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness." Hupomone is the Greek word used in this verse, referring to steadfastness or endurance. It is the concept of remaining under a trial, not escaping, in order to know God better. Our vision is to provide support for people experiencing pain, suffering, and difficult circumstances by proclaiming testimonies of faith and considering how we respond to who God is amidst these trials. Who We Are?
We are Hal and Chelsea Kuepper, a couple who enjoy digging into a new book, drinking a strong cup of coffee, casting a fly line into the beautiful PNW streams, and playing with our golden retriever pup, Annie. We are also the husband and wife team behind Hupomone Ministries, who desire to facilitate a place for honest conversations and real encouragement to occur.
After being married for five and a half years, our lives were uprooted when Hal was diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer in April 2017. Life did a complete 180 on us, having to put our careers, plans, and dreams on hold in order to focus on Hal's health. Fast forward to today, and we are still in the thick of the battle, fighting daily for Hal's health. Throughout this journey, we have discovered the daily struggles that can take place and the constant need to find strength for our weary souls. We would love to have you join us in the goal of creating a space where weary souls can be honest about life, open to encouragement, and responsive to the truth of who God is in the midst of suffering.
You can find more of our story here. If you find yourself in a place of suffering and hardship, please stay and look around for awhile. We would love to hear your story and have you play a part in the conversations happening at Hupomone Ministries. We look forward to connecting with you!
